welcome to

THE PINEY WOOD RANCH

Nestled amongst the loblolly pines, under the shade of the giant red oak trees, lies our little corner of paradise. What we lovingly refer to as a ranch is little more than a homestead, but to us, it represents the opportunity to work together, be together, and grow together. Our passion is our family and helping our children become good, god-loving people. People who know how to bake a loaf of bread, respect their elders, and serve their God. People who are willing to go outside when it is cold to do chores, not because they have to but because it’s their responsibility too.

This journey is not merely to raise food or be more self-sufficient. While those are fantastic side effects, this is about doing something rich together as a family that teaches lessons that can’t be learned any other way. There is beauty wherever you find it. Our little family has been blessed to have experiences in five beautiful states. From a little island in the Northwest corner of the country to the most southern tip of the United States. The Piney Wood Ranch is the next chapter in that journey…one we are excited to share.

Animals

Animals bring a richness to the farm. From taking care fo their daily needs, helping them when they are sick and watching them bring new life to the ranch. Each one has a special place in our hearts.

Gardening

There is something magical and majestic about putting seeds in the ground and watching them bear fruit. From taste of a fresh tomato to the lessons that are learned from reaping what you sew. This is an exciting part of the journey.

Sustaining

What is more rewarding than doing something that then sustains you. From harvesting deer and wild hogs on the property to breeding our domestic animals, this is a journey of self sufficiency. The mission…to take care of our family and those in need.
